Anyway, I also just wanted a place where people can come and see what I’m thinking. So here is what I’m thinking:

Politics aside, the broadcast of the US Address to Congress was a disaster. Technically speaking, the Logan Paul v Mike Tyson Fight was a better broadcast, and that’s saying something.

2025 Address to Congress - Whitehouse broadcast

Look at the main camera angle here. They cut the heads off of Mike Johnson and JD Vance, right at the neck. Big no, no. Also, the camera is pointed down on Trump, which is not something you want to do to the president of the US.

2019 State of the Union Address - PBS

Compare that to this shot. Looking up at Trump, making him the tallest in the shot. Pence and Pelosi are framed well. There is symmetry.

I should add, PBS did a broadcast of their own, and it looked good. But the official Whitehouse broadcast had the worst camera angle I’ve ever seen.
